Reacting the Test Strip - (Very Crucial for accurate test results)

Your Wave system comes with a water sample container and 600 test strips. Pour the water sample into the water sample container, about ½" from the top. (NEVER dip the strip vertically into a water 

bottle. This may cause inaccurate test results due to water running down from one test pad to another and contaminated the pads.)

Remove one test strip from the bottle and replace cap. Hold the test strip as below.

Dip the strip into the water sample horizontally (as cutting with a knife), for 2 seconds.

Slowly remove the test strip from water sample. Removing the strip from the water sample slowly will leave a slight glaze of water on the pad surface.Removing the strip quickly will cause water bubbles or excess water to accumulate on the pads.  

Next turn the pads face up and click the "Start Timer" button displayed on the screen. Do not place 

strip into scanner at this time.

When time has expired, carefully place the test strip into the "right" channel of the white tray of the scanner.

The test strip should be aligned between the four guide tabs and forward. Slide white tray in (black scanner).
