BufferZone software has been developed from years of “real-world” experiences from chemical manufacturers and pool professionals. All the technological developments in water chemistry throughout the years have been incorporated into the software. Buffer Systems Software is highly customizable by the user to reflect the individual preferences of each pool and spa dealer. Each chemical line can be customized for test ranges, product names, dosages, maintenance schedules, and chemical application. Each chemical line has daily sanitizer choices that include: Slow dissolve tabs, pucks or sticks, di-chlor granular, calcium hypochlorite, liquid chlorine, bromine, lithium, and salt chlorine generator.

A full complement of other tests and visible water conditions can be entered manually from test results obtained from specific test kits. (Tests include: iron, copper, salt, TDS, nitrate, peroxide, and phosphate. Water conditions: algae, clarity, scale, etc.) Specialty chemical lines such as Sustain®, ProTeam®, Synergy®, Snap®, Baquacil®, Revacil®, Gentle Swim®, Clear Comfort®, Soft Swim®, PristineBlue®, E-Z® Pool & Spa, Nature2®, Frog®, other mineral systems, and more, are also customizable for product name, ranges, dosages, etc.

A Customer Database is maintained with name, address, pool or spa, chemical line, sanitizer, volume, wall and filter type, and all past tests performed. Mailing labels, previous tests, and a complete test history can be printed. Customer Database Conversion: Home Port can convert most customer data files from other water test programs to The Wave program. This will eliminate manual re-entry of customer information. pH and Total Alkalinity: The relationship between pH and Total Alkalinity is a special one. Adjustment to one directly affects the other. These effects are incorporated in the BufferZone Software. Special considerations and calculations are used when determining the dose for either of these two tests.

Pool Shop Customer Portal

This feature will allow you to allocate your pool shop customers a remote login to complete and log water tests. If something is out of range, they can request dosage recommendations from you, the pool shop. To be clear, this will not give the end customer dosages without your approval. The remote login will sync with the Spin Devices (assuming you can get disks!!) or the customer can enter results manually using whatever testing devices they want.

This feature was designed with the following opportunities in mind:

Geographically distant customers: This will allow you to sell them YOUR chemicals in bulk, for them to enter test results from their home and for you to send them dosage recommendations with your chemical brands should they need them.
Commercial customers: That may need to log their water tests for compliance with the health department. This will allow that customer a secure area where they can add these water tests (receive dosage recommendations, if approved) and access the tests in a report format to export.
Premium customer monitoring: You may own a service run and have customers that need to test and log their water more frequently than you visit. This will allow you to log into their profile and get a live update of recent tests. If they send you a request for dosages, you will be able to see if the imbalance may require you to attend the property.
Chemical/product only opportunity: The customer could enter the water test results themselves and you could ship them the appropriate chemicals and upsell with products at that point.
